The new Ford Ka + with diesel option and Active model made their debut at this year's Geneva Motor Show. The new range goes on sale later this year, prices start from just £10,795.

The new model comes with larger headlights, a new front grille with a chrome surround and a more cleanly designed dashboard which includes Ford's infotainment technology. For the first time the Ka+ will come with a diesel engine option. The infotainment system includes a 6.5inch touchscreen with SYNC 3 technology, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility.

The Ka+ comes with rain-sensing wipers, automatic headlights and heated windscreen as standard.

The engine line-up includes the new 1.5litre TDCi option which produces 94bhp and emits 99g/km of CO2 and a 1.2litre Ti-VCT petrol engine. The petrol and diesel engines comply with Euro 6 emissions regulations.

An Active version has been added to the Ka+ family, this version gets 15inch wheels, plastic wheel arch covers and roof racks as standard. To enhance its off-road abilities the car sits 23mm higher than other models and its suspension is returned to allow a smoother ride. There is a larger front anti-roll bar and the wheels are set at a wider track.
